I joined the Castle Medical Centre as a full time GP in 1985. My interests in the practice are varied but in particular include orthopaedics, hypertension and psychological aspects of medicine. I have been a trainer of GP Registrars since 1991 and a GP Training Programme Director since 1995, teaching registrars at Warwick hospital on Thursday afternoons. I am passionate about teaching junior doctors and have connections at Warwick University where I now hold the post of Honorary Associate Clinical Professor. I am also involved Regionally and Nationally with the Royal College of GPs and am Chairman of the Midlands RCGP Faculty until 2014. |

My clinical interests include paediatric medicine, cardiovascular disease and chronic neurological conditions. I am Chairman of South Warwickshire Practices Commissioning Consortium and I am an approved assessor for General Medical Council performance procedures and Fitness to practice. I am a trainer of GP Registrars in the practice. |

Medical Students The practice supports the training of medical students from Warwick University Medical School. The student mostly observes other doctors consultations, but occasionally will lead the consultation, with the support of a GP trainer. You will always be informed if a medical student is present.
Locum Doctors The practice employs locums on short-term contracts as the need arises. The doctors are fully qualified and accredited to work in general practice. |
